We firmly believe in the training of all our engineers, all are qualified to City & Guilds standard, mostly to Technician Level 3 and engineers are regularly sent on manufacturers courses. We regularly hold training sessions of our own to introduce new products and systems, or to discuss the special requirements of an individual engineer.
Roy Williams, one of the Partners, used to conduct On-Site Assessments and carry out Internal Verification for Skills for Security (Formerley Security Industry Training Organisation – SITO) As an Assessor he is involved in the assessment of apprentices working towards their NVQs. He also teaches alarm installation to City & Guilds Level 3 for a long established training organisation, North West Training Council. Roy has also been asked to help to write the new City & Guilds alarm installation course to encompass the proposed European Standard EN50131.
Roy also is a tutor for the worlds premier security training organisation, Tavcom Training, based in Hampshire. They operate all over the world and provide training in all aspects of security to many government organisations from this country and abroad and he has conducted courses in Pakistan and Kuwait for Tavcom. Together with another well known name in the security industry, Martin Kane, we have set up our own Consultancy & Training Organisation, the Security Industry Training Association (SITA) and are working in Trinidad on 650 schools for Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems together with a bespoke monitoring station.
