The safe & legal way to hold open fire doors
Dorgard Pro is a door retainer for fire doors which holds them open legally, allowing them to close automatically (assuming a suitable door closer is fitted) when the fire alarm is activated.
The Dorgard Pro unit has a separate transmitter which can be connected to any Fire Alarm Panel meaning that it doesn’t operate purely on acoustics like the original Dorgard Unit, however it can also still operate in acoustic mode.
Crosby Intruder Alarms are approved installers for this unit and it is only available to professional installers like ourselves.
How does the system work?
- Wireless Technology – Battery Powered (requires no power, no wires, less mess)
- Fire doors can be held open at any angle
- Responds when the Fire Alarm System is activated
- Can be activated by the sound of the Fire Alarm System or hardwired into a Fire Alarm Panel
- Can also be activated by a radio-activated transmitter which is connected to your Fire Alarm Panel
- As soon as the alarm is activated, the plunger is released and the door will close
